Anitra Horton (Year 6) wrote: "Today we went around the school looking for polygons such as hexagons, octagons, pentagons and there are plenty more. I found a polygon in my 6th grade class. On the window shade were stars. Stars are shaped like decagons. A decagon has ten sides. If you look inside the star it seems as if it could be divided into five triangles. A pentagon would also be inside the star." |

Kimberly Hailey (Year 5) wrote: "This is a picture of a fire alarm box. It is located in the hallway on the first floor of our school. This box is red and short and shaped like a pentagon. It has five sides. I also see two shapes that make up the pentagon. They are a triangle and a rectangle. A triangle has 3 sides and a rectangle has 4 sides with four right angles." |
