STEP*Star Network/Pacific Star Schools Partnership |
The STEP*Star Network produces interactive educational programming delivered by satellite and cable television. Broadcast offerings include K-12, alternative education, college and professional development courses and programs. Student participants receive courses and enrichment in areas that include foreign languages: Chinese, Japanese and Spanish, science: Young Astronauts I and II, and workplace readiness. Professional development offerings are primarily geared to K-12 educators and parents. In addition to its televised coursework, the network maintains a significant on-line component that is used for testing, data exchange, messaging, research, and group projects.
