MathStar Logo

The MathStar project is administered by the Los Angeles County Office of Education and is governed by four managing partners: Colorado Department of Education, New Mexico Department of Education, Monterey County Office of Education (serving Northern California), Los Angeles County Office of Education (serving Southern California). MathStar seeks to improve the teaching and learning of mathematics in middle schools through the use of interactive technologies. The project addresses these issues systemically, through an intensive collaboration between middle schools, colleges and universities, and educational service agencies in the four areas.
