Educators are often thrilled at the abundance of materials they find on the Internet. As you construct your resource, however, think beyond using just this library function. Remember that learning also happens in exchanges between people, and you can exploit the Internet as a communications medium.

Two kinds of interaction can occur on the Internet:

• Synchronous Interaction requires all communicators to participate at the same time
• Asynchronous Interaction doesn't.

Once you've engaged learners in such interactions, there are some methods you can useto keep the Community of Learners you've created going.
